Next Generation of Discovery, Development and Commercialization
NRL sponsors and supports various programs that directly influence our social life styles to combat various metabolic and cardiovascular conditions. One of such activity is the NRL-Racing Development Cycling Team. With an always growing team composed of novices to National champions, NRL Racing brings together some of the finest and fittest riders from the San Francisco Bay Area to race mountain and road events. Many of our riders attend UC Berkeley, Humboldt State, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, UC San Francisco, CalPoly San Luis Obispo, Chico State, University of Utah and other prominent Univerisities. Members not yet graduated from high school participate in the NorCal High School Mountain Bike League, a non profit organization that hosts a series of mountain bike races.
NRL Racing is dedicated to bringing the sport of cycling and active lifestyles to youth around the bay area, in both the junior and U23 (espier) age groups by having an elite team mentor and coach younger riders. Besides leading training camps and attending races in the fall, spring and summer. The NRL team hosts rock climbing, trail running, backpacking, snowboard and skiing events to help others get involved with an active live. Our goal is to spread awareness of metabolic diseases, such as Obesity, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and Dyslipidemia, and in general, the metabolic syndrome. By being active and inspiring the future generations to live healthy, active lifestyles, we can combat these diseases.
